Darius Norowzian’s powerful documentary short, ‘Born a Believer’ is about the South London based charity, Carney’s Community, who rehabilitate ex-offenders and disaffected youths through boxing and mentoring. Set in Battersea, this gritty documentary is told through the eyes of five young ex-offenders and disaffected youths, taking the viewer on an engaging and emotional journey through their recovery. Their unique approach is inspired by boxing legend Mick Carney MBE, who taught young boxers how to exercise self-control, show courage and behave with respect and dignity.
