MARTIN PERCY
Lifesaver VR is the story of a young woman fighting to save the life of her friend – who’s had a heart attack. You have to guide her to make smart choices fast. You must completely engage with your body to do CPR – pushing down hard two times a second on a cushion in real life to save the friend in VR. Get things wrong, and the friend will die. Get things right, and sense the thrill of saving a life. LIFESAVER VR will give you the feeling that you’ve saved someone’s life. And by playing it, you really will be empowered to save lives. It’s an interactive VR game. Users have to save lives by making smart choices and performing CPR, while watching a story in a live action 360 film. UNIT9 created the experience in collaboration with director Martin Percy, plus paramedics, doctors and the Resuscitation Council (UK). It’s a new kind of VR for good – teaching medicine and science in a whole new way.
