Alone in the World
Martin Werner
Alone on the platform, Max goes to take out his phone. Panic-stricken and unable to find it, he gets more and more flustered and the scene suddenly transports us to an isolated desert island. Max wakes up face-first in the sea and as he gets up and comes to terms with his new location, we see his various trials and tribulations on the island as he battles to survive alone in the world. Foraging for food and attempting to build a shelter, he becomes more and more exhausted until the final scene when we see his iminent doom as a tarantula crawls up to his neck. Patting around for the object he can feel perched on his back, we are suddenly transported back to the station from the original scene. Max continues to pat himself down and eventually finds his mobile that was hidden in his back pocket all along!
